A selfie from me

As a photographer I don’t have any issue with selfies.

Selfie - Mexico City, 2021

Derived, perhaps, from Henri Cartier Bresson who argued that a photographer must show himself only through his photographs, but even he could not resist the temptation to take portraits, many photographers tend to have a snobbish attitude against selfies. And the most hostile against this practice also feel they want to teach you the moral lesson.

Here I am with a photo taken in the bathroom.

As Selfie commands.

In an essence of me captured. Through a reflection and it could not be otherwise, revealing a lot of what are certain connotations of my photography. As in all photography, a selfie can be thought of or not. I could discuss some of the self-portraits I made of myself in the space of a conference. Or even say nothing.
