An inspired street photographer 5

Let’s talk about this photo…

Which starts from my preview skills used when I approached a background that always attracts me. The man walking by carrying a cart near me could represent that blurry foreground element I needed to take a picture with different planes of vision.

It is instinct and imperfection. It is my photography. My street photography. My way of understanding it, living it and doing it. Using my rangefinder ( a fake Leica) with a lens that is a diva. When I want the whole scenario in focus I go into hyperfocal already knowing that the objects close to me will come out of focus. The result obtained is absolutely close to film photography.

There are photographers that would never propose an inaccurate photo like this. Also because they don't photograph the way I do. Compared to such an urban structure, they would wait to have all the elements perfectly framed. I am not like that.

There is a difference between doing photography first of all for ourselves and then for others and those who aim for academic approval. And I am not pretending I am right, but my approach is right to me. I look for images that have a soul. And believe me that I also cherish the academic approach, but I use it and then bend it to my will. For this image, I took Gestalt psychology into consideration, but this must not preclude me from instinct.

Pursuing one's own language is more complex than using the generally accepted one.
