Buy prints, not NTFs
Do you like real life or a virtual one?
The one you see above is one of the prints of my exhibition made in 2020 in the historic center of Mexico City and which is now attached to the wall of my studio. It is a 192x94 cm print.
It's a real print. That I can admire every day. Not a fucking file that no one will see. By now you should know my thoughts. I consider the NTFs the correct drift of the dystopian and silly world into which they want to plunge us. Where real life is replaced by an illusion, by the metaverse, by digital photos that remain in an idea of surrogate possession. Crypto art for crypto brains.
It all depends on what is worth living for you. What are they selling you or what is real? I am pretty sure that real photographers will not fall into the trap. And yes, I know, a famous street photographer is selling now NTFs, but I think he is pathetic.
And you?
