Canon EOS M200: first hands on review in Mexico City Downtown
In general a good feeling that confirms I was right when I decided to buy this camera for Street Photography.
I published a video:
To photograph on the street with the 15-45mm lens is not the ideal solution and I was already aware of this, but until I will get my 22mm lens this is the lens mounted on my Canon EOS M200.
I need to get familiar with the camera, in particular, not pushing the video button when I don’t want (it is very close to the finger rest) and by having the touch screen activated I suggest to set the display without the Q mode activated, in order to avoid to push some commands like ISO. When I did it inadvertently the ISO changes and I shot a photo at 12800 as you can see:
Used exclusively at the focal length of 28mm, I certainly avoid the excessive distortion of the more extreme wide-angle lens but I lose further brightness and so fastness of the lens. This is the reason why this morning I will shoot at 15mm (24mm equivalent). If you want to have an idea of the detail, this is the photograph:
As I said in a previous post I consider this Canon EOS M200 a camera that can be paired with the Ricoh GR and this will be more evident with the 22mm mounted on. That will be my definitive set up in the next future for street photography.
