Canon EOS M200 is an incognito street photography camera

Known as a vlogging camera, I am showing how much is perfect for Street Photography

Do you use the camera to wear it or to use it?

Any street photographer recognizes Ricoh GR series as great tools for Street Photography. I do. I used to work with ba Ricoh GRD IV and it was amazing. A large part of the Ricoh's greatness is the stripped-down design, where no one suspects they're dealing with a great camera. The appearance is absolutely discreet, it does not attract any attention, small, light, compact. All that is required by those who do street photography. Whoever photographs with a Ricoh is a different photographer, who doesn't necessarily ask for a viewfinder and who doesn't need dials and doesn't wear the camera, but rather uses it, always secured on the wrist. Daido Moriyama is certainly a photographer appreciated, one of the most celebrated in the street photography universe, still rocking at his age.

I was able to recognize the same virtues in the Canon M200, Plus having an interchangeable lens system, good operability and video quality and...a 35.2mm equivalent which for me is making the difference. I removed the Canon logo on the camera to make it more street edition. I love this camera. This is how to do an APS-C sensor camera: with a pancake lens, unconspicuous.

When I decided to switch to mirrorless cameras in 2010 I did have clear one thing: mirrorless has a sense if they are not bulky and heavy. I still think this. Mirrorless is a compromise. This is why mirrorless to me means the opportunity to count with small cameras offering good image quality. That’s all. Otherwise, for commissioned work I still feel good with my DSLRs.
