"Faces of Mexico City" is a portrait photography project by Alex Coghe aimed at capturing the diverse and vibrant essence of the people in Mexico City. This project will focus on showcasing the unique stories, emotions, and personalities of individuals from various backgrounds, celebrating the rich cultural tapestry that makes up this dynamic metropolis.
"Rostros de la Ciudad de México" es un proyecto de fotografía de retrato de Alex Coghe destinado a capturar la esencia diversa y vibrante de la gente de la Ciudad de México. Este proyecto se centrará en mostrar las historias, emociones y personalidades únicas de personas de diversos orígenes, celebrando el rico tapiz cultural que conforma esta dinámica metrópolis.

Alex Coghe – an internationally renowned photographer with a passion for street and portrait photography, known for his authentic and compelling storytelling through images.

Goals/Objetivos:
Cultural Richness: The project aims to highlight and celebrate the ethnic and cultural richness of Mexico City.
Printed Book: The ultimate goal is to compile the portraits into a beautifully crafted printed book, preserving the stories and faces of the city for generations to come.
Riqueza Cultural: El proyecto tiene como objetivo resaltar y celebrar la riqueza étnica y cultural de la Ciudad de México.
Libro impreso: el objetivo final es recopilar los retratos en un libro impreso bellamente elaborado, preservando las historias y los rostros de la ciudad para las generaciones venideras.
Casting Details/Detalles del casting:
We are looking for individuals of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds to participate in this exciting portrait photography project. No prior modeling experience is necessary – we are interested in real, everyday people who represent the true spirit of Mexico City. The project will be realized in native black and white.
Buscamos personas de todas las edades, etnias y orígenes para participar en este emocionante proyecto de fotografía de retratos. No es necesaria experiencia previa en modelaje: estamos interesados en personas reales y cotidianas que representen el verdadero espíritu de la Ciudad de México. El proyecto se realizará en blanco y negro nativo.
Casting Requirements/Requisitos:
Age: All ages are welcome (participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
Ethnicity: All ethnicities
Gender: All genders
Experience: No prior modeling experience required
Location: Must be based in or able to travel to Mexico City for the photoshoot. Location will be decided together according to the story we want to present.
Availability: Must be available for a 1-2 hour session on the specified shoot dates (to be determined)
Edad: Todas las edades son bienvenidas (los participantes menores de 18 años deben estar acompañados por un padre o tutor)

What to Expect/Que esperar:
Selected participants will be invited for a photoshoot session with Alex Coghe. The sessions will be relaxed and informal, aiming to capture genuine expressions and moments. Participants will receive high-resolution digital copies of their portraits as a thank you for their involvement.
Los participantes seleccionados serán invitados a una sesión de fotos con Alex Coghe. Las sesiones serán relajadas e informales, con el objetivo de capturar expresiones y momentos genuinos. Participants will need to sign a model release form allowing the use of their images for the project and related promotional materials.
Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the photoshoot.
The photoshoot will adhere to any current health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all participants.
