Detective films fed my vision on the street

I have lived the metropolitan reality since I was a child. And my visions have always been influenced by what I saw on TV.

Cinematica - 2021

With greater awareness I conveyed this experience of observer of detective series and movies. From Shaft and other cult films of the so-called blaxploitation to the streets of San Francisco and Kojak, I can see how certain settings that I live in could be perfect locations for the kind of stories that I have loved and still love to watch.

Now in particular I feel that my photography has become more cinematic and i can breath certain atmospheres that I learned to love. Mexico City, in this sense, helps a lot with that flavour of New York City in the ‘70s.

I immediately recognized that when I have seen this scene in front of me.
