Film photography: instant photographs in Hierve el Agua

A work made some years ago that I want to share here

The use of instant film added a unique character to the images. The photographs have a slightly soft focus and a dreamlike quality due to the nature of the instant film. The vibrant colors of the landscape are slightly muted, creating a vintage feel.

The work, made in few minutes, captures the otherworldly beauty of Hierve el Agua, the petrified waterfalls of Oaxaca, Mexico. I focused the attention on people and the dynamics of them filling the pool. It is a work clearly made by a street photographer despite the context is pretty far to be urban.
