Fomapan Creative 200 with the Canon 7
I’m sharing here the results from my first roll of Fomapan Creative 200.
THOUGHTS
It was my debut with this film and it surprised me in the best way. I shot it with a very loose, experimental attitude, fully aware I’d make mistakes with the Canon 7 rangefinder and the 52mm Soviet Industar-61 I had on it.
When I shoot film I slip into a different mindset. I actually chase imperfections, because otherwise there’s no real point in using film in 2025. This stock has something special. The black and white rendering hits exactly what I’m after. And the Canon 7 with the Industar let me work on the street the way I enjoy the most.
PHOTOGRAPHS
In the end the results were even better than I expected. In order not hiding the process, I am sharing the entire roll here.

CONCLUSIONS
Will I use this film again? Probably, although I like working in color, partly for cost reasons. Fomapan showed me to give me a great black and white, with certain peculiarity that reminds me of photography made in the 30s and 40s of the last century.
I can dig into this way to shoot even for the more dynamic situations on the street because I love that blurry coming from the ISO 200 and my settings with the 52mm. I surprised myself this time because I can see there are some keepers here. Film photography is used especially for a personal motivation, but I can see that foma film stock could be taken in serious consideration even for some portrait session.
I would thank again the guys at foma to ship me these rolls to test.
