Highlights May 2022

A month in which I worked less often in Downtown. But also the month of the new acquisition: the Canon EOS M200.

Although I'm not used to making this kind of association, I found the moment fun.

This is more a classic of mine, instead. I love the expression of the woman, so intense and that highlights a moment that captures her immersed in her thoughts even if she is there to eat with friends.

Speaking of friends, here are 2 with their mouths open. Your photographer doesn’t hide.

And maybe I'll be banal and obvious withi this one, but I love the urbanity included on the frame and this is why i propose it in this month selection.

I would not have taken if the subject had been another. I tend not to photograph shoeshines because they don't like being photographed. But the woman makes the photo here, giving me a smile with her eyes.

Basically it is the white that emerges from the shadow that makes the photo.

As I explained yesterday a photo with a couple of fingerprints on the lens…can stay in the best of the month? Yes, because if one of the first real streets made with M200, with a very dim lens. And yes, if I can work miracles like this well, the future is bright, especially because I will buy a much brighter lens.

Notes

In a busy month with so much work, study and deadlines I had less time just to photograph. Finally I bought my new mirrorless and represents an important change, yet another, which will influence my photography.
