This month…

Between us, I do photography essentially to capture moments like this. Street photography in which mere observation leads you to images where history is given by gestures so normally and extraordinarily human that make the photo. Without any intervention, without my presence being in any way relevant or causing reactions. And this image is kissed also by a fantastic light.

In the barrio, street photography changes. And changes in approach and aesthetics that go along with a different nature compared to a historic center. A photo built with layers and in which the sign on the wall helps to give greater depth to the context.

What can I say? Photos like that are not born every day. And yes, I am a lucky guy.

I was struck by the posture of a dancer. An image certainly built on the beauty of the background.

Some would say decisive moment. I just say that the time between stimulus and reaction must be imperceptible. The woman looking at me is blurry too, but the moment pays off because she does what she can to avoid bumping into the girl. But there is not only this. The face of the girl behind emerges and is a visual contact also sustained by the man on the right reflected by the water mirror. As if that weren't enough, a couple of men hand in hand walk away to the right. Could I calculate everything in infinitesimals? Obviously not, but street photography is also this.

During my homeland month, I met, even photographically, many flags of Mexico. But this is subliminal. And the woman is very beautiful, she has style, as she could have had it in the 60s.

A photo built on women. That's enough? I don't know, you tell me.

I often find myself in areas of downtown where I dare to go, knowing that they are not recommended for most, and then I go there alone and with a camera. And even if the photos do not give perception of dangerous places (because I am not a photographer making decay porn), believe me they are. Here the frame is full and interesting and here I propose it.

This photo is connected to the speech made previously. I like this shot for how I managed the composition which also draws from the dynamism of an instant. It is an interesting shot in my opinion.

This is the journalism that I propose. Heavily seasoned with street photography and that you don't expect. Why does not respond to narratives and rhetoric of all time. Because it focuses on the sensations of the moment rather than an upstream preparation, avoiding those visual storytelling schemes that often we see proposed.

If everyone looks on one side, I have to look on the opposite side: this is stronger than me.

Some notes

This has been another absolutely rewarding month, full of photos that made the task of making this selection difficult. Although it was a difficult month also due to the weather conditions, I photographed a lot and enjoyed every single day on the street, having fun and loving this job even more. I have been a new, different photographer for the past year. And this is because I feel very inspired and it is because I am freer than in the past. Today I am first of all a street photographer (I have always been but today I impose it as a priority) and everything else is a consequence of it. By now I always and only pursue my vision (or visions) and with conviction I propose what is my photographic proposal. Take or leave. I have thought about this a lot. I believe that the technical background is today in its fullness and this makes me more calm and free to create at best, much better than in the past.

On another note, I ask you to look carefully at my photos: they are not didactic. I think this marks the difference. In its shades of imperfection I see a different line that allows me today to go out on the street and every time to indulge my personal way of seeing the world.If this has always been a little present in me today it has become decidedly more continuous. And also let me say that the position of ambassador clipped my wings: even if there were no real impositions, however I was asked for a certain number of images to be generated with cameras of the brand and for that I have sold in the past a Leica and a Ricoh, which going back I would not do again.

I really hope you enjoy these photos like I enjoyed to realize them.
