iPhonography: an extra asset for my photography
In the sense of my iPhone 8, certainly not one of the latest releases. But I am impressed with the image quality.
A necessary premise…
Don't get me wrong. I still hate shooting with my smartphone, despite the fact that I have already published a book, DUO, which you can find for sale in the shop. But I'm not mentally closed either. And just recently I discovered the possibility it offers on the street. yes, I am referring precisely to street photography. No kidding. Black and white gives me the opportunity to count with a wide angle lens, a 28mm 12-MP f/1.8, while my cameras have mounted a 35mm (Canon EOS M200) and a 38.4mm (Canon EOS Rebel T7). Leaving aside the non-existent ergonomics of a phone I want to leave it to you to judge the quality of the black and white obtained.
The dimensions of the image is 4032x3024 px at 24bit. The images shared here are the JPG straight from the camera, with 0 intervention in post production. I really don’t need to do anything more.I will photograph in black and white with my iPhone. I made this selection with the idea to show certain image details and the dynamic range. I think is pretty good. But, please, let me know what you think of the first results.
