People are the big motivation
Especially in this historical phase I try to make photography that is full of life. I want it as a photographer because I need it as a human being.
Too many times when I see street photography take the turn towards the distorted and the bizarre I am not happy as an observer. As a photographer I like beauty that is not universal or that imposed, but the beauty of the world as such, with the differences that each person has and that make it somehow special.
Although today's world is scary for many reasons and despite the fact that I see a lot of sadness and distrust in people's looks, I try to ignore it and focus on the good things while I am walking with my camera. The job I chose has been a part of me since I was a child and I still didn't have a camera. From observing others I nourished my knowledge of the world, also discovering so much about myself. m,y introversion as a kid has given way to a certainly more open character. And this certainly influences my vision as a photographer. And also what I'm interested in photographing.
The people I observe and sometimes photograph interest me.
I don’t photograph them as if they were pedestrians within the chessboard of the photographic composition. Because it comes from an observation that, as a portraitist and writer, tends to probe a little of their soul.
While I write these notes True by Spandau Ballet fills my home. I like to think in a positive way while I work as photographer and this reflects the mood of my images.
I think that never before has it been possible to see how much fun I am having on the street. I feel reborn and finally free. Free to do the photography I love to do and without concessions in any choice.
I believe that I am no longer willing to give up on this. Obviously, I will accept proposals but without binding myself to situations that castrate my creativity. Today I am a happy Street Photographer. And this blog allows me to share it with the whole world.
All this is exciting!
