Street Photography Highlights April 2025
The month selection finally is here
40.5mm. The subject going out of the frame. The bokeh. There was not a better weay to start this selection because we celebrate the magical imperfection of my photography. And to start, just take in mind this statement: sharpness is a nerd concept.
I am happy how I managed to solve the visual equation here. It is street. It is landscape. It is my photography.
I am focused on trying to make poetry. If I wanted to make literature I would have chosen to be a clean photographer. But that's not what I want. And I don't even care about being framed in a genre. This is my street photography. And I don't care that a group of guys don't recognize it as such. I live the street in an authentic way and as an all-encompassing experience. I don't care about aesthetic rules pronounced by others.
One thing I have to say here: the difference between a simple photographer and an author photographer is that the latter is able to put together a masterclass with just one photo. Why do I say this? Because I am convinced that those who take photographs with intent are of a different species.
Listen me: it doesn’t matter to make a difference between a professional and an amateur photographer. It’s irrelevant. But being a photographer author is anotther thing. There are not many photographers that are authors. That is the goal.
The reaction to a stymulus. The dreamlike. Street is an idea.
A punk assault. A nuclear waltz. Uban poetry of my anarchic attitude. I am responding only to myself. And I enjoy the ride.
Oh, yes…the park in front of where I live.
Just mannequins. Maybe.
OK, I have a responsibility to the sky. Entity that I respect very much. And that I cannot soil with improbable blue. Understanding urbanism for me also goes through this. How do you expose with the camera?
I have married the topographical cause many years ago. Giving information inside an image is a serious commitment. However, it constantly resolves itself into a dichotomy between the physical and the metaphysical. Gabriele Basilico was a master in this sense. And it is a constant reference to me.

THOUGHTS
Here is my photography. The one I want to carry forward. This is me. Trying to do my own thing. To recognize the photos as part of my essence. To be honest with myself to be honest with the others.
A month where I photographed mostly in black and white and the last day I switched to color. The 3 photos in color, consider them as a way to make a point by sharing with you new possibilities.
