Street Photography Highlights February 2025

A super busy and interesting month and it is a pleasure to share with you a selection like that

Let’s start with 2 photographs started with the light (and shadows). Sometimes is good to back to simple, to those images that I made when I started with street photography. Don’t get me wrong, it is possible to make cool photos like these, but i consider them basic, elementary and yes, easy to do.

Other times the composition comes thanks to the reaction of an immediate intuition. These are the photos I prefer. Because I do street first of all to train and improve. I propose these four shots to show the management of the subjects in the frame that between natural frames and observation collection points show my reading as a photographer of the world around me.

I have written in the past about the importance of making iconic photographs. That understanding what they are requires a certain level of visual culture. I like to see how subjects are best defined within a photograph, giving them back a sense of immortality which is the photography that I have learned to love through study. That is why some art directors decide to hire me. I have these pieces, I can do these pieces.

In a rainy day I pushed my Canon Rebel T7. I am happy with these foggy images.

My answer to the fucking pigeons that those who play with photography like so much. I don't play.

Finding a car so damaged in the middle of the city is already a story. That I do not recognize. Sufficient to share it with you.

I am the opposite of those who stand still and prepare everything. I gather by going to look for it. I am a fisherman while I hunt.

The hierarchy of colors. Photographed from the bus.

This shit we call street photography is not a genre.

Rather it is the experience of being on the street. With a camera. It imposes a choice. And therefore it declares. I don't give a damn about the rules written by someone else but rather I speak to you about experience.

Final notes

I hope you like this selection. It was not easy to do it, because I made a lot of photos this month. Here I propose something that makes me share a thought. Photos that can represent a little bit of my process and vision, in costant change.
