Street photography is an alternative to all the rest of photography
As a street photographer with some experience I can say that street photography is something completely different from all photography.
And it is especially so in the approach.
When I see photographers who are overly hesitant and think too much before taking a picture, I don't see a street photographer in front of me. I see a photographer trying to be a street photographer. It is not even a question of being quick but of thinking and living the experience of the moment in the street in a completely different and alternative way compared to all the rest of photography that we can do.
