Alex is a street photographer known for his truly spontaneous street photography and never staged. Working with him will allow you to learn how to make real street photographs, with a never excessive post production and aiming at photos with visual impact, in a perfect balance between form and content. This unique Masterclass Street Photography workshop is designed to take you from a standing start to being a confident and capable street photographer. This is a more intensive and immersive experience respect to Alex Coghe 1 day workshop, ideal for those who want to dig deeper into the basics of street photography, but also for those with a certain experience willing to to move to the next level, counting on a very special experience in Mexico and building a portfolio full of images.
The workshop is a one on one masterclass based experience, customized on my student needs.
The Masterclass is a 5 days experience. It offers a combination of seminar learning, critique, discussion, project development and street shooting to refine your skills. Anything is focused to build your confidence, respect and developing your individual style as a street photographer.

With our time together split between the classroom and the streets of Mexico, the 5 days will challenge your creativity and help to become a good street photographer.
The one o one formula means that you can count with a unique, dedicated coaching, critique and mentoring.
This is an intensive and well-structured course where we will work for 5 days. The masterclass is a a full immersion experience focused on building you as a street photographer, perfectly balanced between classroom sessions and practical shooting walks.
Additional notes
The masterclass doesn’t include any transportation, hotel or private home, meals.
Please bring comfortable shoes, your laptop, of course your cameras, charger and batteries.
The experience changes sensibly if you decide to do it in Mexico City or Oaxaca. You can ask what are the differences by contacting Alex via email.
Alex speaks 3 languages: Italian (Mother tongue), Spanish and English so the tuition can be held in each of these languages.
FAQs
Who is the course for? The student has a good grasp of the basic photographic principles, being interested about the street photography genre. Please feel free to contact Alex if you would like to discuss your suitability before booking.
What do I need to bring? You’ll need a digital camera (a DSLR, mirrorless or compact) with appropriate lens (ideally around 28 to 35mm, full-frame equivalent). If you’re a film user, feel free to bring your film camera, too. To fully participate in the post-production and critique work, you should bring a laptop or suitably equipped tablet.
What does it cost? The masterclass has a cost of 2500 US$.
Masterclass Coach Your workshop leader for the 5 days is Alex Coghe, a well-known Italian street photographer based in Mexico, counting with a which counts with a very good knowledge of the two cities. He has lived in Mexico since 2010. He is a published photographer who worked also on assignment for Leica Camera AG.
He is also publisher of 2 street photography magazines: THE STREET PHOTOGRAPHER NOTEBOOK and SHOOTR.

The state of Hidalgo is something different from any other place where photography educators are used to propose their workshops and this means that you are going to make photos different from any other photographer because you will work in a different place of Mexico, not even chosen in the classic tourist destinations.
The city of Pachuca, the capital of the state of Hidalgo. Tulancingo and its local market. Acaxochitlán, a mountain community.
The experience is proposed as a three-day private workshop, in which Alex will work at your side, accompanying you in the process of making street photographs completely different from those you are used to.
Alex provides a safe and fulfilling photography workshop experience, planning the best locations for street shooting, local food, and comfortable accommodations in advance. The workshop also includes image review sessions. This is a complete Street Photography experience.

This is highly recommended to the ones in love with my approach and vision. It is a different street photography workshop because focused on the old school that who forged street photography in the 60s in NYC.
