The reflections that connect

Taking pictures of shop windows that give me another world back…

Cafè Tacuba. Mexico City, 2022. Alex Coghe

The practice of photographing shop windows for my photography has a distant history, which has given me various satisfactions..

Cafè Tacuba is a historic restaurant in the capital. I ate there only once, on a special occasion, invited by the Leica team from New York who interviewed me for my work on assignment for the famous German camera brand. There is street and humanity in the photo. There is a surreal and alternative world that presents itself to my eyes. A mixture of old and new world that goes from happy times to dystopian. Sweet bread and asphalt, bow on the head and mask.

Today I wrote about this.
