The Reflex of the Consequences
Canon Rebel T7 is the best-selling DSLR camera. And this is my camera of choice.
Shopping and photography.
Simply because I cannot conceive of going out without a camera.
Photography for me is like breathing.
And this also explains why for me it must not and cannot be an excessively cumbersome and slow operation, but rather it must follow the breathing, smell the environment, feel the vibration, enter the flow, let yourself be influenced by the rhythm.
Photography for me is an acceleration compared to the moment, a moment that you suddenly seize, in which instinct takes me, a reaction to what I find in front of me which can never be an excessive pause. But rather it is action, action that is triggered by feeling that photographic moment first of all with the body.
And this leads me to make mistakes, to encounter imperfect photography, devoid of that excessive study that would perhaps also give me a perfect photo, but then perfect what? Are we sure that perfection really has something to do with photography? Everything I observe and see, everything I have studied and learned to truly love is never perfect. How could it be? If photography is a reflection of life... how could it be perfect?
Film Photography is a state of mind

I see film photography as more digital than digital itself. Because what you see on a backlit screen is different from print. and then because there are many posers and absolutely insecure people. And they fake it. Yes. I've read about people using VSCO to fix film shots. Sorry but then I find it quite stupid to use film, even considering the costs.
And what I can do with an optical viewfinder in a reflex camera is wonderfully imperfect and with amazing results without having to spend on film stock.
Photographing in the barrio and photographing in the historic center. Photograph without them realizing it. Take posed portraits. I am always ready. My Rebel (best name ever given to a camera line) is fast, simple, straight to the point.
And I have the clear sensation of working with a camera that is reliable for all my photography and this, believe me, is a great feeling.
It's no secret that it's the best-selling reflex: perfect for beginners. But anyone who knows how to do photography can also do it with a camera considered for beginners.
I don't care that DSLRs are considered obsolete today, I have the OVF that mirrorless owners generally can't boast. And the optical viewfinder is a game changer. It changes the way of approaching photography and does so in a way that belongs to the analogue era, to the era of the real world, as photography has always been done in a century.
In photography what really matters are ideas. And how do you manage to translate them into images. As a photographer and writer I feel a bond with emotions and therefore my photography must be emotional. I don't care about excessively technical photography, both as an observer and as an author.
