The separation in a frame
In the separation within the frame, I feed a perception of the visual message that tends to create two images in one.
I often resort to this way of composing. it helps me to convey a certain type of aesthetic. It belongs to me and it pays off, in terms of leading the game where I want to take it.
My choices as a photographer depend on how I see the world, on the perception that derives from it, my images are useful for my proposal. The snapshot aesthetic lives on as many components and variations as there are photographic identities and attitudes. My photography does not pursue mass acceptance but rather tries to understand the place in front of me. Putting a pole in the middle of a composition becomes a challenge. It goes from being aware of how disturbing it can be to many observers to being openly careless of what it is disturbing.
It is my photography and you eneter in my world. I don't benefit from approving a photo I take. If you like it, that's fine. If you don't like it, it's the same for me. I am perfectly aware of it and this awareness resolves my total tranquility and therefore the freedom to shoot as I want.
