To be a presence on the streets
I'm usually a lone wolf, like any good street photographer. But I am aware that my presence with a camera arouses reactions for the simple fact of being there, in the place. I am a metropolitan photographer who does not hide and am open to the world.
You ask me for a photo as I pass fast. And I'll do it for you. I have no problems and I find it funny.
The photo may not be perfect and not what one expects from a portrait, but it is the essence of that moment. Street photography is another story. A completely different experience than what can come from studio photography. There is nothing absolutely prepared and even if a person asks you for a portrait it happens in a matter of moments. You don't know the person and I don't even think about putting it in favor of light.
The result is a portrait that is not straight, but satisfies the needs of the moment.
