Another day on the street

Photography is for me, for my soul, for my mental sanity. Because I make a living with photography.

And you think I am going to trap all this in dynamics to obtain trophies? Do you think photography is about getting points for an absurd ranking? That would be very vulgar.

I make street photography for myself. Then if others like it, even better. Also because from that come clients, proposals, work.

- I don't crop

- I only shoot in jpg

- I shoot directly in black and white

The photo is made through recognition. I compose. I shoot. That's all.

Alex Coghe is an Italian editorial and documentary photographer based in Mexico City. His work explores contemporary life, culture, and human presence through documentary photography and portraiture.
