2 days of Street Photography in Downtown are the best way to share with you
Last week in downtown…
There is not another thing than making photos, good photos, to be confident as a street photographer. Someone got illuded with other special effects but NO. To have the skills to produce great stuff everyday is THE ONLY WAY.
A street photographer flirts with the failure all the time. And from this dangerous relationship borns the sublime. I am not afraid to share my work because I am confident. Starting from the assumption that street photography is in constant process and that this process is based on intent it is clear that we can't always take good pictures. The keepers derive from this constant research which is the normal workflow of the street photographer. But this happens to all types of photographers: don't you believe that a portrait or landscape photographer only takes good shots, no?
The week I show here was a good week. Not overly good, but overall positive. A camera and a lens and some spare batteries are all I need. all the rest is up to me. Let’s see these photos, guys:
DAY 1
DAY 2
I conclude this post with saying a thing: guys, stop to buy new gear. You don’t need it to become better photographers.
Books and workshops are better ways of learning to create better images than getting a new camera. Get out and shoot. Choose a good mentor. I am shooting with cameras considered obsolete. I have a project that I will do with an old reflex released in 2011. If you need a camera, buy in the second hand market. Buy a film camera in a local market. Best way to learn is working with the camera you already have. Rather live the experience. Stop photographing your cameras. Use the camera you have taking lots of photos.
If you are starting with Street Photography or you want to live a real experience in Mexico as street photographer you can contact me. I have several workshops for you.
