I am not interested in the usual speeches on vignetting and distortion. I purchased this lens because I needed to recover the 35mm focal length that I had lost since I can no longer rely on the X100S.

For 80 bucks you can have a 37.5 equivalent lens and that should be enough. But I will add that now I have a small (so important to me) and fast lens, completely manual, ideal for my street photography. If you know me a little as a photographer I am used to make virtue of defects so I think to have now a great tool to use with my Fujifilm XPro2.

The camera appears to be even more serious with this lens mounted on. Excellent metal body, solid feel. Yesterday I made a couple of shots and and I liked what I saw: colors are crispy and with a nice contrast, giving to the XPro2 a different yeld in terms of character and aesthetics. About the issues like bad corners and bad distortion I leave it to the perfectionists of the image: I am a photographer.

You will see the work that I will realize with this combo.

I conclude this review by appealing to all camera manufacturers: we photographers ask for and need real lenses like these, with distance scales and that allow us to work in zone focusing. This way we can really do creative photography. Because despite technology advancement real photography is still done the same way.

Please Note: Not having the license on the electronic contact 7artisans sacrificed the EXIF data that is an issue in order to share on a blog like that, but not a problem in general.
