A new service in Mexico City: Printed portraits

I am very excited to announce this new service

As a portrait photographer I have no presumption of capturing the essence or soul of the person portrayed. Rather, I believe that the portrait is the result of an encounter in a given moment and that one can succeed in capturing an image of the person in that particular moment of time in which he accepts to be portrayed and therefore by allowing himself opens a door. I also believe that the photographer should not take but rather welcome. And therefore with the spirit of giving something one also receives in return. This is in general the philosophy behind my idea of photographing others.

Without a doubt, a service like this is a great opportunity in this era of so many photos that we take of ourselves. But these are photos that almost always remain in the memory of a smartphone, destined to be lost.

A large, printed portrait is a different thing. If we start from the assumption that an image becomes a photograph only when it is printed, we understand how it is only in the physical dimension, when the photo becomes a material, palpable object, that can be hung on a wall, that we understand that we really own a photograph, preserving the memory of a person.

These are the reflections that led me to want to offer a service of this type in Mexico. You can check out the landing page by CLICKING HERE
