About the purpose of photographing on the street and other food for thought
Intention: to record public life as it is found. Intent: do it by trying to get something good also from an artistic point of view and not just a documentary one.
I had another great outing on Monday and Tuesday finding my self in new locations.
I made this photo yesterday.
In a popular neighborhood where I was for the first time. And of which I did not recognize the danger.
From the market below the buildings a voice has risen, babbling something in English. Voice that I ignored.
Sometimes you have to do this to avoid problems.
I associate my photography with hip hop, the most underground and pissed off.

Despite weather is not co-operating because this is the hurricane season I am always ready with my camera anytime I go out on the streets. To photograph new places is always a challenging experience. You have to be ready to take pictures but the first real difficulty is to get into the mood and rhythm of the place, furthermore, by putting myself in popular neighborhoods, I cannot predict what the reaction of those who live in those places will be.

Don't go with the purpose of taking pictures but accepting what you find in front of you is certainly difficult if you are aiming at photographs of some value anyway. On both days I was there to accompany my wife to do certain documents and I just took the camera with me, as I always do.
Many street photographers let themselves be overcome at some point by the routine. And this sometimes translates into an initial enthusiasm that converts in the early years into a driving force that allows them to find a lot of inspired photography, then everything stops. Maintaining consistency over decades as it happens to me is different and requires an approach aimed at taking everything as when one starts. This passes through a mind that is open to change and experimentation.
I still enjoy to make street photography because this is not just a way of photographing to me. It is a way of life.
