Alex Street Photography Highlights - March 2026
This month
THE SELECTION
Women. And a kid in the middle. The everyday. The urban. It is sufficient to me.
I know those expecting to see just street photography (with humans) don’t get why I include this photograph, but hey, to me, you should know that by seeing my work, there is not just a way to live the street as a photographer. All this geometry present in the frame would be sufficient to justify my choice, but I want to say more. My street photography approach is evolving in a mix between street and urban landscape. I am not interested to respect the…circle, I have to say my own thing. It was Canon 5D and the 50mm here. It is an interesting scene with a powerful mood. I love this frame.
It is downtown. The magic of love. The bear. Do you feel the spring coming?
Women looking at me. It is balanced. A good photo.
Oh, well…that written: MEXICO FEMICIDE. The girls running. Yes, street can be political.
I have already analyzed this photo. What I can add more?
This dying Christ caught my attention. A punch in the gut. Because enough of this cute little street photography that's going nowhere.
On a religious theme, this is probably my best photo so far.
I don't give a damn about street photography done scientifically. And I challenge you in the open field of anti-composition. Then, if you're stupid, you keep babbling about snapshots. Without knowing a damn thing that the snapshot aesthetic has made photography something worth living. If you're not ready for this speech you can go back to your fucking academies.
How much information can you fit into a frame and still remain photographic?

THE THOUGHTS
This month I had a harder time aligning the images within this selection. Because, as I said, my photography is drawing even more from my research as a ladscapist. And this, for example by posting the video on YouTube, with the title street photography, can be subject to misunderstanding and therefore exposes one to criticism.
But honestly, I don't care.
When you enter Alex Street territory you should be a more adult photographer. Because I am a photographer, with many complexities, who is only interested in proposing personal work. I don't give a damn about slipping away from photography genre classifications.
I know that makes sense for many of you here. Thanks for watching and let’s continue this journey together.
