He stopped me to ask for a photo

Does photography always have to be comfortable? No. And I think that too many times even with hard themes we are too used to the glossy. But the streets are real.

Mexico City, 2022. Alex Coghe

I get portraits like that. The places where I work are anything but easy.

This man asked me for a photograph and I don't deny myself. I also decide to propose it on my blog because by now I have decided not to be more condescending with certain rules. Not everyone has to like my photography. And if someone looks elsewhere it just means they are not made for it. But I live and work in the real world. And I photograph the real around me.

If you don't feel comfortable with this image, I get it. But no one came to tell me what to publish.

He stopped me to ask for a photo.

I made it.

You got it.
