Mannequins are still OK in 2022

For street photography, at least that of a certain type, is a classic. And that I dust off every now and then.

If I consider Lee Friedlander an unattainable master of the art to photograph mannequins, it is for all his work, on the street or portraying people. Photographing mannequins today still makes sense in my opinion.

Surreal and often disturbing, sometimes even sexy or completely crazy I can see how we can make interesting photos either in using them as a primary or secondary subject.
