Maybe a new project has started

Something says me that I am seeing the birth of a new project…

The photographic projects can be born with a previous study, thoughtfully and with a specific goal. But sometimes they are born in an absolutely non-meditated way, they arrive without you being able to do anything but indulge them. They come because they have to arrive.

The name of this project could be: …they ask me for photos… because that's just what's happening. Sometimes they ask me on the street specifically to take a picture of them, seeing me with a camera. Or, sometimes, as in the case of this photo, I ask to take a photo of them just because the situation asks me to photograph.

I have to say that most of the ones asking me for photos are people in a street situation like homeless, people with mental health or drug problems. It is not and will not be a light themed project. However, what is emerging seems to be giving a voice to those who are most unfortunate for various vicissitudes of their life: a voice of dignity. I am reflecting a lot about the opportunity to make this project. Let’s see.

I believe that in this historical phase we forget even more about these people. Mainstream Media think of absurd things, polluted with politically correct only to appear. But the substance is that they don’t really care. And the project of those ruling the world is a world excluding even more the poors and the hungry from society.
