The photograph you don't expect

I spent three years taking unexpected photographs. I made them in the heart of that project called AMERICANA which led me to exhibit my work for the first time in the center of Mexico City.

This year I considered that the experience with that urban landscape project aimed at documenting the barrios was already over. Even if the mental state changes a little from project to project, however, I still take pictures of that type from time to time.

A piece of car on the corner acts as an opening for the whole scene that wants to show you where I live, basically that was the core of that project. Guido Guidi, Luigi Ghirri and Stephen Shore, great references and influences for me assimilated into the path that in 3 years have allowed me to get to know and explore better the neighborhoods I live in every day and which have even added dimension to this year's work, with a clear return to a more classic street photography.
