MEXICANA is back

The project is never really finished. There is a call open for all the girls in Mexico that want to join the editorial project. The idea is to publish a printed book this year.

Izuly - EDOMEX, 2014

When I started the project I didn't think I would receive so many requests for collaboration from girls here in Mexico. Throughout 2014 I had to devote a lot of time and energy to this publishing project. At one point I was doing 8 sessions a month. An incessant pace that led me to photograph in different locations in Mexico City but also outside. Private houses, cultural centers, photography schools, photographic studios included my small AGUA STUDIO.

The girls were models or even women at their first experience in front of a lens. MEXICANA pushed itself against clichés, openly challenging certain aesthetics. I am interested this year to work with new models interested to be part of the project. My idea is to release a completely new book this year.

MEXICANA is a series of printed and electronic books available on the shop.
