My work in Oaxaca as a start-up for alex street brand for the upcoming expeditions
The personal work carried out cannot be separated from that of photographic expedition leader
What I did this year is something different.
First of all, not only photos but also many videos that will fill a new series on the YouTube channel.
This year's photographic expedition has changed completely compared to previous editions. As already said in the previous post thanks to Brad who is a true traveller, but also thanks to the planning of the itinerary and the fact of having used public transport.
This made me reflect on the future and it is already the future: smaller groups, an upstream selection of participants thanks also to the communication that will be made, an increase in the price (which in any case always remains lower than the competition) which will allow us to avoid those who think to come to my photographic expeditions with a tourist attitude.
Traveling to the most dangerous part of Oaxaca City at night and taking a pick-up truck along with local farmers to travel the most tortuous route up the mountains is not something everyone is willing to do, including those photographers who like to stay in five-star hotels, served and revered.
However, putting yourself out there, accepting the risks, is part of what I propose (without actually exposing yourself to personal damage) to achieve that photographic and content authenticity of the journey.
I am already working on the new formula that will allow a few photographers to live a different and authentic experience, to achieve results different from all those that can be obtained from other photography workshops of this type.

Experience the Carnival in San Martín Tilcajete with the published Italian photojournalist and street photographer Alex Coghe. Alex has been living in Mexico for 12 years and knows very well Oaxaca where since 2015 he has been directing expeditions and workshops, working with communities of Mixteca, Valle Central, Sierra Norte and Istmo.
All the experiences with Alex are a guarantee to work as photographers with a lot of fun and learning a lot about people, culture, language, and the world renowned Oaxacan culinary cuisine.
One of the world’s most unique festivals, the Carnival San Martín Tilcajete in the state of Oaxaca, México, is a total human experience. We will visit the towns of San Martín de Tilcajete, Ocotlan and Zaachila.
We will apply the apprach of Street Photography in order to emphasize the surreal of the celebrations.
The workshop is a full immersion experience offered by Alex Coghe and includes storytelling feedback and image review sessions.

Limited spots available: Workshops are limited to 6 participants. To make this unique workshop with a small group allows Alex to provide a one-on-one photography coaching experience for all the participants. The workshop will take place also with 1 attendant.
