New website and new blog
I am pleased to announce that finally my website is online. In recent days I have received many messages of solidarity and certificates of esteem. What pleases me more is to see how many recognize the great loss to the street photography community of my official website. After all, almost 10 years of activity with a site that was at the top of the most important documentary photography blogs / magazines cannot be deleted with stupid malware. Many are left with the memory of the importance that my blog has had in recent years. I managed to inspire many photographers all over the world with my work as a photographer but also with that of a writer of photography and offering showcase and opportunities to many photographers.
Having said that and having said that what has been has been and I have no intention of going back, I tell you that I am already at a good point with the new site that I am doing alone, with (important) technical support from a friend and partner of a new project that we will launch soon.
And now it is already published. I'm still uploading the material because it is a lot, so thank you for your patience: however many products are already available, from books to photographic expeditions and workshops.
The satisfaction is not to set myself up as a webmaster and a site that is far superior to the previous one is coming out. I do not hide and I do not hide it from you: the theme of the old site was obsolete, with several bugs, inflated in a way that is impossible to fix, completely dated compared to the web world that has changed in the meantime, especially for how we live the network today compared to a decade ago. And then what has come to hurt has become an opportunity and a rebirth. Because this will be.
Borrowing from the automotive language I say that the frame is already ready. Now I'm loading the books and magazines and I started from THE STREET PHOTOGRAPHER NOTEBOOK, the best magazine dedicated to street photography that exists. I say it with conviction and pride because the magazine is the only one to pay the published photographers. Also for its electronic edition. And then it will be the turn of the other two magazines that I manage: PORTRAIT MAGAZINE and SNAPSHOT !.
If anyone gloated that I was gone, he will have to change his mind. The new site will be much more dynamic and captivating. A site that I designed for the photographic community because this interests me. My work will be there, of course. But in another way. With the knowledge that the portfolio site is on my photo reporter.
Not all evil comes to harm. I still have a lot of work ahead of me, but I assure you that a lot of waiting is worth it.
