12 years of marriage with Carmen. And I also celebrate them on my blog with this photo.

This photograph remains the best portrait I have made of my wife so far.

If it is true that a portrait should be able to reveal the essence of a person in this photo there is Carmen, with her passion for books and her simple sensuality. When I make a portrait I try to understand a little of the person's psychology and passions. Obviously with Carmen it was easier, but also with my clients everything is aimed at understanding before even taking pictures. Only in this way can I be sure that I can do a good job. And it doesn't necessarily have to be a classic portrait as many photographers understand it. In this sense everything, in my opinion, must respond to the need to create unique and revealing photos of the person portrayed. So each portrait is a story in itself. At least with me it's not about photographing people all through a generic scheme.
