Pro and Full Frame: the Canon EOS1 SLR

Yesterday I purchased in a local market this film camera for 5 bucks.

Canon EOS1

Of course it needs an overhaul and cleaning but the camera is working.

EOS-1 is a 35mm SLR camera released by Canon in 1989, a professional range camera. The EOS-1 was the Canon's first professional-level EOS camera. It is big and heavy, it feels very solid with a very hard material, featuring a plastic shell in polycarbonate over diecast aluminium frame and anti-slip artificial leather. The camera weighs in at 890 grams loaded with a battery. With the optional BP-E1 Battery Pack housing four AA alkaline or lithium batteries and a 50mm lens we reach 1.7 kg. I think I will use it for some portrait projects mostly.

Another Canon joins my equipment.

Let me say that I love Canon to be popular and cheap. Exactly what I need for my adventures in the barrios.

No, I don’t say this to advertise: I am not an ambassador and I am not interested to be. I already did have a bad experience with the discrimination I was victim in 2021 by part of the green brand and I am done with that.

I just say this because people falls in certainties with sone advs and believe some brands are the best when is no true. Brands are just brands and we should not follow their strategies. It is better to stay... humans.

I hope you like these shots:
