Street Photography and the evolution of the mindset
It is anything about the progress in the path of learning. From the others and from ourselves.
Street Photography came into my life and changed it forever.
When this happens and you don't experience it as a simple pastime it becomes something serious. To the point that you change your lifestyle. To the point that you get to make decisions that lead you to live even difficult experiences, but you remain stubborn, you persevere because it is not a game for you. This is what I have done with my life and if someone comes to say that you cannot be a professional street photographer, I stop him immediately. You probably can't be a professional street photographer but you can make your business allow you to be a street photographer every single day.
Street Photography is in itself an all-encompassing experience. By being a street photographer I can:
To stay active
Getting to know other people
Enter the artistic context of galleries and conferences
Travelling
Become an avid art book collector
Having a constantly creative mind
Offer my experience to others
Create something positive for the whole community
To be much more attentive and sensitive to my surroundings, to the community where I live and where I go to photograph
Release the tension and therefore obtain a therapeutic benefit from the experience of photographing on the street
Improve as a photographer
As a street photographer I now boast 15 years of experience. I know what it means to me and what means for other photographers around the world. I have abandoned certain absolutisms and certain controversies. I consider the work of the street photographers around the world fundamental especially in these hard times. And I consider right now street photography the most credible form of social documentation.
