Street Photography Tip 20
Never turn off street photography mode.
Just like Joel Meyerowitz I consider Street Photography central to all photography: It is to me also a training for any thing I do as photographer.
Just look at this image, one of my favorite photos ever. I was busy with a coverage of an event in Oaxaca. I was having fun and yes, I was completely drunk. And yet my skills as street photographer emerge.
As a a photography enthusiast many years ago I was impressed by the work done by Blake Andrews who portrayed the everyday of his family life, and I could see not nice pictures but interesting photos where the street photographer achieved to find compositions and surreal moments.
So my tip is don’t turn off the street photographer in you also when you are busy with other types of photography.
