The first class given for SER
Yesterday, we started the first course for the SER cultural center.
As I continue my work as a photography instructor, I am taking on this new role with this school, embracing a project I strongly believe in.
"L'arte di vedere" (The Art of Seeing) is the brand under which I have offered my workshops and educational programs for several years (since 2011), an initiative focused on cultivating a visual culture that we can apply to our photography, thereby shaping and expanding our photographic vision. Drawing on an approach that frequently diverges from orthodoxy and academic convention, and relying on direct experience rooted in constant empiricism, which has led to significant professional achievements, I have witnessed over the years how my methods yield effective results for students in my photography courses.
Today, I feel an even greater need to continue this pedagogical approach, especially in an era of radical transformation regarding imagery, where, like it or not, we must coexist with artificial intelligence and a certain sloppiness in the approach to photography: a time when many take photos, yet few truly understand photography. My aim is to integrate myself into a context that seeks immediate results, attempting to bypass the process of acquiring visual knowledge, a process I consider absolutely essential and a necessary prerequisite for intentional photography.
This is just the first of the courses for SER, and others will be starting soon.
I recommend the interested photographers who would join one of my courses to contact SER.
Also I remind you that I am available for private courses, in person and online.
