The first roll with Canon model 7

I am pleased to share the results of the first roll of film shot with my 35mm rangefinder Canon model 7 camera

For the test I bought 2 rolls of Kodak Gold. This is a selection of photos that I like from this first roll.

Thoughts

A good test. Despite that is not my favorite film stock and I count to use the camera especially for black and white. I can consider myself satisfied: I did not take the exposure meter into account and used the Sunny 16 rule to adjust the exposure. It could result in a total fail and is not. All the photos came out but I made a selection of those that in my opinion deserve to be shared.

For this test I worked in Coyoacan, one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Mexico City. This helped me immerse myself in a more meditative state, enjoying the experience with my Canon 7. If you are interested to live a photography experience with me in Coyoacan I recently added a fantastic one to one tuition proposal:

ONE-ON-ONE STREET PHOTOGRAPHY & URBAN LANDSCAPE WORKSHOP WITH ALEX COGHE IN COYOACÁN & SAN ÁNGEL

I love the imperfection of film! I consider those lines of light a gift of shooting film and not an error. If I want anything in control I go digital. For film I need to accept the randomness of certain results. That is my approach with film.

I love my Canon 7 and I am so happy to count with this camera that is and will be my film Leica when I want to have that vintage vibe while shooting. Best is yet to come with this camera but this test given me some important informations. What do you think of these photos?
