The Street Photography that documents the human condition responds to different aesthetics
Street Photography for me is not a game. And it's not some kind of author's signature like “look how good I am”.
I took this photo from the bus that was taking me home.
I share it because it is for me a good example of that type of photographs that do not meet the aesthetic standards commonly accepted in the world of current street photography. And it shows the different intent of my documenting with photographs.
Something that interests me to say with this post is that, guys, let's stop thinking about favoring a certain aesthetic dominant, the one that is commonly accepted and recognized by street photographers. Let's think about doing yourown thing. Now that street photography festivals are dead, now that street photography blogs telling you how to do it appear to be as outdated as the last time they were updated, now is the time to think about how to do it without homologation.
There is an entire planet to document. And the difference is…make it different. Show us your inner voice. Show the life you are living. Show the places where you are used to go.
