To use my new smartphone for photography? OK, but with some reservations. Samsung A07

My iPhone 8 is dead. So I should buy a new smartphone: the choice made fast & furious when I was supposed to catch a plane just two hours later. Not the ideal condition to choose a new smartphone, but I could not loose the flight.

I’ve been getting to know this smartphone, the hard way, of course. That’s because the photos you see here, except for the last one, were taken in Pro mode, which gives you full manual control over exposure settings. However, I’ve just discovered a problem: it drops the resolution to 12 MP instead of the standard 50 MP, resulting in a noticeable drop in image quality. And the zoom is definitely to be avoided, too. Oh well. I’ll use this smartphone like a pretty brainless point-and-shoot.

Because despite all these issues, I think there is still a room to use this smartphone for photography. Here there is a selection of some shots I like, and the last one made to the best resolution, introducing my cat Kiki to all of you.
