Carmen Surbia is a historian specialized in Mexican history and cultural heritage. She holds a Licenciatura en Historia from the Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia, one of the most prestigious academic institutions in Mexico for historical and anthropological studies.
Her academic background is combined with a strong passion for storytelling and public history. Carmen believes that history should not remain confined to books and classrooms, but should be experienced directly in the places where it happened.
Through her work as an educator and guide, she focuses on bringing the past to life by connecting historical events, architecture, social transformations and everyday life. Her approach is engaging, accessible and deeply rooted in rigorous research.

Alex Coghe is a professional street photographer and visual storyteller based in Mexico City.
With more than a decade of experience as a photographer and photo coach, Alex has been leading street photography workshops, photo walks and mentoring programs internationally since 2011. His work focuses on the human presence in urban spaces, exploring the emotional and social layers of the street through both color and black and white photography.
Alex is known for his strong personal vision and his direct, practical teaching approach. He helps photographers develop a sharper eye, stronger compositions and a deeper awareness of the moments unfolding around them.
Through his workshops and photo tours, Alex guides participants beyond technical settings, encouraging them to build meaningful images that reflect their own voice and connection with the street.
