New photos made yesterday

I don’t know why I shoot. Maybe to see what I was looking at. Maybe to keep walking. Sometimes the street gives you everything in one second and you still miss it. Other times you get nothing, but the nothing looks like something when you look at it later. People ask about intention. About message. About meaning. I don’t know. The world doesn’t wait for you to make sense of it. There are days the city hums and my eyes can’t stop moving. The camera becomes a nervous tick. It’s not control: it’s compulsion.

You walk, you frame, you fail, you try again. Somewhere in the mess, the photograph happens. And when it does, you almost feel like it wasn’t you. Maybe it’s not about what we see, but about being seen by the street. About being caught in its rhythm for a fraction of a second. That’s when I’m alive. That’s when I know I’m still interested to photograph.

I don’t think you need to collect every country of the world to make your job. And I don’t think i need to shock all the time with my photography. It is much better to stay on top of things. It is better to be consistent.
