Fujifilm X Photographer

Since 2016 I am an Official X Photographer for Fujifilm Mexico.

All over these years I could work with Fujifilm X Series cameras, following its development and evolution. Fujifilm Mexico supports me and I feel completely satisfied because I believed in their proposal for mirrorless cameras from the very beginning. When I highlight the merits of this system it is because I am absolutely convinced of it. Proof of this is that I use their cameras for my professional work.

During these years I have owned several Fujifilm cameras and many others I tested. In particular I owned X20, X100S, XE2 and I could work with XPro1, XPro2, XT1, XT2, GFX 50R, X30, X100T.

Currently my Fujifilm cameras are:

Fujifilm XPro2, Fujifilm XT10 and XA3.

I use Fujifilm for my work as a street photographer and photojournalist, but also for my commercial work with professional books for models, fashion street style, portraits and erotic/nude.

I don’t need many lenses. My choice in this sense is very minimal: 28mm, 35 mm and 75mm equivalent means that I work with the XF 18mm f/2 R (equivalent 27mm), the 7Artisans 25mm f1.8 (37.5mm eq.) and the 50mm f/2 (76mm eq.). I don’t need more than this. With 28mm and 35mm equivalent I am covered for photojournalism and Street Photography (but I use them also for some portraits and erotica) and the 75mm equivalente is my solution for portraits, erotica and fashion street style.

The Fujifilm cameras allow me to work worrying only about my job as a photographer because the workflow is, in this way, fluid and easy. I love that Fujifilm keeps it consistent in any new camera, with few variations that make easy and intuitive their system. Coming from the film era I consider a pleasure to work with these cameras that not only from an aesthetic point of view are similar to the film camera use experience.

I would add a thing: these cameras are great also when you decide to use manual lenses. Through adaptors you can use also old lenses builded many years ago for the film cameras and the experience with a Fujifilm X Series camera is simply fantastic: I love the highlight peak mode allowing to work great, understanding quickly when you have the subject in focus. Fujifilm cameras used in zone focus are great too.
