How it works:
After payment we will set the meeting date in Mexico City;
You will be invited to send me a maximum of 20 high resolution photographs that I will print;
On the day of the meeting over a cup of coffee I will analyze your photographs, telling you the strengths and weaknesses of your proposal;
I will help you understand whether you are on course to meeting your goals, or whether you need to change your strategy or tactics;
By reviewing your portfolio directly face to face is the best portfolio review you can find;
The printed photos will be yours at the end of the meeting;
PLEASE NOTE: The portfolio reviews are available in English, Spanish and Italian language.
2. PROFESSIONAL BOOK
BASIC PROFESSIONAL BOOK includes no less than 50 photos at highest resolution and dimension and for internet use;
A professional printed book is included;
Usually the photo shoot lasts an hour / an hour and a half;
Be prepared to sign an agreement for the photo shoot;

Location: Oaxaca
Experience the Carnival in San Martín Tilcajete with the published Italian photojournalist and street photographer Alex Coghe. Alex has been living in Mexico for 12 years and knows very well Oaxaca where since 2015 he has been directing expeditions and workshops, working with communities of Mixteca, Valle Central, Sierra Norte and Istmo.
All the experiences with Alex are a guarantee to work as photographers with a lot of fun and learning a lot about people, culture, language, and the world renowned Oaxacan culinary cuisine.
One of the world’s most unique festivals, the Carnival San Martín Tilcajete in the state of Oaxaca, México, is a total human experience. We will visit the towns of San Martín de Tilcajete, Ocotlan and Zaachila.
We will apply the apprach of Street Photography in order to emphasize the surreal of the celebrations.
The workshop is a full immersion experience offered by Alex Coghe and includes storytelling feedback and image review sessions.

I will dedicate 5 days to you through a totally personalized experience, making real Street Photography, in some locations in Mexico impossible to consider as a stranger and where no photography instructor will take you, except me. You will back at home as a as a different photographer, with greater awareness and what to look for on the street. And with an important portfolio of images for the continuation of your path in street photography.

The workshop is a one on one masterclass based experience, customized on my student needs.
The Masterclass is a 5 days experience. It offers a combination of seminar learning, critique, discussion, project development and street shooting to refine your skills. Anything is focused to build your confidence, respect and developing your individual style as a street photographer.

Additional notes
The masterclass doesn’t include any transportation, hotel or private home, meals.
Please bring comfortable shoes, your laptop, of course your cameras, charger and batteries.
The experience changes sensibly if you decide to do it in Mexico City or Oaxaca. You can ask what are the differences by contacting Alex via email.
Alex speaks 3 languages: Italian (Mother tongue), Spanish and English so the tuition can be held in each of these languages.
FAQs
Who is the course for? The student has a good grasp of the basic photographic principles, being interested about the street photography genre. Please feel free to contact Alex if you would like to discuss your suitability before booking.
What do I need to bring? You’ll need a digital camera (a DSLR, mirrorless or compact) with appropriate lens (ideally around 28 to 35mm, full-frame equivalent). If you’re a film user, feel free to bring your film camera, too. To fully participate in the post-production and critique work, you should bring a laptop or suitably equipped tablet.
What does it cost? The masterclass has a cost of 2500 US$.
Masterclass Coach Your workshop leader for the 5 days is Alex Coghe, a well-known Italian street photographer based in Mexico, counting with a which counts with a very good knowledge of the two cities. He has lived in Mexico since 2010. He is a published photographer who worked also on assignment for Leica Camera AG.
He is also publisher of 2 street photography magazines: THE STREET PHOTOGRAPHER NOTEBOOK and SHOOTR.
