WTF with Can I take a picture of you?

This blog tries to stay out of the controversy and wants to focus on the positive, but in any case I am interested in proposing a true culture of street photography. And therefore taking a clear position on certain aspects is part of this objective.

Yesterday I happened to see a video on YouTube. A girl who has a photography channel. She, for heaven's sake, is very nice in her way of being. She presents videos where she is using film cameras and therefore is also to be respected a lot, just for that. But…the only problem I have is that she is asking all the time: Excuse me, can I take a picture of you? That wouldn't even be a problem ... if it weren't for the fact that in the title you claim to do street photography. And I see her to ask permission also for people for people who turned their backs on her. To make a photo of their backs.

Guys, I think on YouTube we need more channels with real street photographers. There are too many who shoot with telephoto lenses, and maybe they think to be at the zoo…the issue is that they title street photography, contribution to spread their misunserstanding.

And this is exactly what I am trying to do with my THE STREET PHOTOGRAPHY CHANNEL. I know that in youTube the most successfull channels are those of gamers, food bloggers and make up artists but i think the niche of Street Photography is pretty interesting to develope and this is my commitment now.

This is why I am asking to subscribe to my channel, and rememeber to click on the bell in order to get the notifications anytime I upload a new video. I remind you that I want to build a community and giving a showcase to other photographers by inviting them to my show. And you are invited.
