My favorite masters of photography
They often ask me who my favorite photographers of all are. But answering this question is not easy because there are so many. But I will try to answer by listing only those who actually continue to be a reference for me.
PLEASE NOTE: In making this list I'm keeping out photographers who I really appreciate but who ultimately haven't turned out to be important in defining who I am as a photographer. If you find a few women or photographers who can't be missing for you, I can't do anything about it. This is me and me alone. Nor is it a post for looking good or for SEO strategies.
They are not even listed in order of importance. But I'll try to share a photo that represents the author for me.

What's up? Can't you find Robert Frank? He is a photographer who has been an inspiration for a generation other than mine. For that matter, Henri Cartier-Bresson doesn't appear here either. Here I have deliberately left out all those photographers who are not a direct influence of my photography.
No Alex Webb and no Bruuce Gilden? Nope. They were never decisive for my vision. The photographers you see above have acted decisively. With some, a photo was really enough. But, in general, I really appreciate all of their work. Of many of these I have books, the best way there is to really appreciate a photographer.
I really hope you can appreciate the efforts to make this list here.
