New for 2026: Día de Muertos Expedition in Mexico City

After ten years of leading my Día de Muertos photo expeditions in Oaxaca, it’s time for a change.

Oaxaca has become oversaturated: too many tours, too many workshops, too many photographers chasing the same locations.

As a photographer and photo coach, I’ve never been interested in doing what everyone else does. I prefer to move where the energy is real, where stories are still alive and not overexposed.

And yes, I don’t wanto to meet other groups filling the pantheon with tripods (!) and with their approach of a photographer at the zoo. Because that is exactly what is now Oaxaca during dia de muertos, so good luck with that. I am sorry but I am not interested, And I believe that my clients deserve something better.

That’s why, starting in 2026, I’ll be running my Día de Muertos Street Photography Expedition in Mexico City.

The capital has become incredibly active during this period: full of processions, neighborhood ofrendas, and spontaneous street moments that offer a fresh, authentic view of this celebration. It’s a vibrant environment, ideal for photographers who want to document rather than stage, to see rather than decorate.

And yes: I’ll be the only one offering this kind of expedition in Mexico City.
Pure street. Pure documentary. Real life during one of the most symbolic weeks of the year.

More details and booking information are now available on my shop in this website.
